Our cross country adventure wouldn't have been complete without visiting family & friends. We were fortunate to see my father in Gallup, NM and have lunch with him. We also had brunch with Greg, Kathy, Elise & Andrew at their lakeside home. We also got a chance to hang out in the "Big Kahuna" sno shack with Kathy. Stuart and I were extremely blessed to sit and visit with Dr. Hal & Martine Riddle porch side at their home in Amarillo.

Family & Friends
Our cross country adventure wouldn't have been complete without visiting family & friends. We were fortunate to see my father in Gallup, NM and have lunch with him. Visiting
AMARILLO, TEXAS
Ada & Stuart showing off Mother's Day gifts.
Along our journey cross country, we stopped in Amarillo to visit Grandmom Ada. This was the first time I had met her, and I was nothing but pleased and very impressed with her. Our visit lasted about 36 hours and it was non-stop! Grandmom Ada took us to a fundraising event (Homer's Backyard BBQ) which consisted of bring your own beer, loud live bands, Texas size ribs and of course shave ice provided by Kathy. Afterwards, we had to visit the Big Texan! Grandmom was a little upset that we sat at a table and only ordered water. But neither of us were hungry. Stuart especially because he ate about 8 sno cones! I could have had a little something, but after seeing the size of the 72 oz steak...I lost my appetite.
Road Trip!
VIRGINIA TO CALIFORNIA 2007
Look Mom...no hands! Not the safest picture to post, but as you can see, I was bored and Stuart was entertaining me.
The U-Haul
Not my first choice of additional transportation, but the motorcycle had to get to California somehow (Yes, Stuart has a motorcycle). Since I am vertically challenged, I was forced to sit on a pillow in order to see over the steering wheel. At least we made it to California and the bike was unharmed.
Finally! A new posting!
Stuart and I sincerely apologize for NOT updating our blog. So much has happened since our last posting. I completed two half marathons in January and April. Stuart successfully completed EWS in May 2007. Stuart moved back to San Diego from Woodbridge. We decided not to buy a house in San Diego and instead are renting a beach condo (I'm not complaining). The most important event so far is our marriage ceremony that took place on May 26, 2007 in Friendswood, Texas.
