Stuart's "Wahine"

Hawaiian word for woman, can mean:

• Kihe-Wahine, a Polynesian goddess
• A female surfer
• Any of several ships named Wahine, one of which foundered in the Wahine disaster during the "Wahine storm".
• Mana Wahine Te Ira Tangata, a New Zealand political party from 1998-2001
• A member of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's women's sports teams, the Rainbow Wahine
• OR Stuart's Wife

You can't vacation in Hawaii unless you rent a car like this. Just about every tourist on the island had this Chrysler convertible. None the less, it was fun cruising the island with the top down, at least until we got too much sun and had to put the top back on.

HANAUMA BAY

Ahh...Hawaii!!! We couldn't get enough of everything the island had to offer. It was tough leaving Hawaii and arriving at LAX in 7 AM gridlock on the 5 freeway. I kept saying, "I miss Hawaii." I'm sure it got old after about a week ;o)

Hanauma Bay is where we went snorkoling for the day. It was my first time snorkoling and my mask wasn't sealing properly. Stuart thought I was making it up, but when we switched masks, he said I was right ;o)

The water was absolutely wonderful. The entire experience was amazing! The next day, we realized we spent too much time in the sun...we were so tired!

Shave ice in Waimanalo, away from touristy Waikiki. Choosing a flavor was easy for me-I'll eat anything with coconut or coconut flavoring. Not sure if we looked like locals, but we knew where to get the good stuff!
